An unlikely couple: Ruby is funny and gawkily attractive, Jack a bit of a scruff but cocky. When they were together she let him walk all over her, but now Ruby looks great, is full of confidence and has a new lover, Keith, who she is about to emigrate to America with. But will her feelings for Jack return when she decides to meet him one last time…

EX will be celebrating increasing British influence on what has been considered a largely Stateside-dominated genre and the creation of opportunities for original writing in a traditional mainstay of British theatre, in an enchanting story of the difficulties of modern romance. Plus, of course, there are plenty of numbers!

Third Floor
By Jason Hall
Directed By Russell Labey

'The last thing I want is all these total strangers, who live literally inches away from me, knowing every last detail of my life.'

When a young woman buys her first flat it seems that all her dreams are coming true. Then she meets him. Overbearing, brash, and prone to spectacular gaffs, her across-the-hall neighbour is definitely strange yet strangely attractive.

But when an innocent prank goes horribly wrong the newly-formed friendship is pushed to breaking point. Only then do the neighbours realise they don't know as much about each other as they thought they did. Starring Craig Gazey (Coronation Street RSC) and Emily Head (The Inbetweeners), and directed by Russell Labey (New Boy), this new thriller is a hilarious and unsettling look at urban living today. So put an eye to your keyhole and feel the guilty rush of spying on the strangers whose secrets are only a wall away. After all, it's good to know your neighbours...right?
